Governor, Otto Ipinge y urged Namibians studying at vocational Centres

Otjozondjupa Regional Governor, Otto Ipinge yesterday urged Namibians studying at vocational centres to seize the plethora of opportunities their studies create to empower themselves.

Ipinge was speaking to nearly 900 trainees of the Okakarara Vocational Training Centre in the Otjozondjupa Region at their 2018 academic year official opening.

He said it is the technical and vocational training centres that can capacitate and transform students from mere thinkers to artisans.

The governor said graduates from theoretical institutions often seek jobs in white collar establishments, whereas graduates from the technical schools use the skills acquired at vocational centres to make a living by working for themselves.

Okakarara Constituency Councillor, Vetaruhe Kandorozu on his part thanked the leadership of the vocational training centre for their continued efforts in producing skilled and equipped graduates who contribute to Namibia’s economy.
