Onghala School to host second Nanghili Nashima Cup

Onghala Combined School in the Ohangwena Region will host the Nanghili Nashima Annual Sport Tournament for the second consecutive year between 28 and 30 September.
The tournament’s main organiser, Sammy Mushelenga, told Nampa in an interview on Tuesday that a draw for the competition will be held on 27 September and will be preceded by the closure of the registration period.
“School teams should register with N.dollars 550 for soccer and N.dollars 450 for netball per team, while the clubs participate only in soccer register with N.dollars 750 per team,” revealed Mushelenga.
Each team is expected to avail 18 players for soccer and 10 players for netball.
Prizes to be won include N.dollars 5 000, 18 gold medals and a trophy for the champions, N.dollars 2 500 and 18 silver medals for the runners-up and N.dollars 1 250 for the third and fourth team in the clubs category.
Winners in the school soccer category will be awarded N.dollars 2 500, 18 gold medals and a floating trophy, the runners-up will receive N.dollars 1 800 and 18 silver medals, while the third-placed team in this category will take home N.dollars 1 200 and 18 bronze medals. The fourth team will walk away with N.dollars 800.
The school netball teams will receive N.dollars 2 000, 10 gold medals and a floating trophy for the champions, N.dollars 1 400 and 10 silver medals for the runners-up and the third and fourth team are to walk away with N.dollars 700 each.
